Terms in this definition
- Security Copilot plugin
Lets Security Copilot reach a data source, whether Microsoft, third-party or custom. Users still need their own permissions on that source for it to return anything.
- AKS
Short for Azure Kubernetes Service, a managed Kubernetes offering that gives full control of clusters and node pools. Scaling uses the cluster autoscaler and Horizontal Pod Autoscaler; user sign-in is not built in.
- VNet
A private network belonging to a single subscription and region and covering all of that region's availability zones. A VM can only use a VNet located in the same region.
- Azure CNI Overlay
AKS networking option where pods draw IPs from a private overlay range and VNet addresses are consumed only by nodes; it works with Windows nodes.
Related terms
- Pod CIDR
With kubenet networking, AKS carves a /24 out of this address range for the pods on every node; unless changed, the range is 10.244.0.0/16.
