Terms in this definition
- OS disk
Each VM has one; it is a managed disk with the operating system on it (C: under Windows) and is kept when the VM is resized or redeployed.
- Temporary disk
Local, non-managed storage on the VM's host, by default drive D: on Windows, intended for scratch data and page files. Redeployment, deallocation or maintenance can wipe what it holds.
