- Tenant
A trusted, dedicated Microsoft Entra ID instance that stores the users, groups and app registrations of one organisation. A subscription trusts only a single tenant, although a tenant can be trusted by several subscriptions.

- MSP
A company that looks after IT estates for clients. When the estate is in Azure, it will usually reach into clients' delegated subscriptions and resource groups from its own tenant using Azure Lighthouse.
- MSSP
A managed security service provider is an outside company that handles security operations on behalf of its customers, commonly reaching their tenants via Azure Lighthouse and Defender multitenant management.
