Terms in this definition
- Access policies
Older permission model for Key Vault, now superseded by the Azure RBAC model.
- VALUES
Returns in DAX the distinct column values, or table rows, still visible after filters are applied, sometimes with an extra blank entry. CALCULATE often takes the result as a table filter.
Related terms
- ACL
List of permissions set on a file or folder; examples include the POSIX-style lists in ADLS Gen2 and NTFS lists on Azure Files. Attribute conditions cannot be expressed in them.
- Actions for noncompliance
What a compliance policy does, in order, when a device fails it. Marking the device noncompliant always happens, at day 0 unless you add a grace period; you can also send an email or push notification, lock the device remotely or put it on the retire list.
- Agent Registry
A central list, reached in the Microsoft 365 admin center via Agents > All agents > Registry, of all agents people in your organisation can use. It flags overall numbers, ownerless agents and those that aren't managed.
- ALLEXCEPT
Clears every context filter from a table except the ones placed on columns you list. In this DAX function, the first argument must be a base table and the rest must be columns belonging to it.
- Allowed locations
Built-in Azure Policy that rejects resources in any region missing from its list, making it the usual way to control where deployments go.
- Applied steps
Power Query keeps a running log of every change you make, shown under Query settings as a list of named steps that execute top to bottom. Clicking one shows how the data looked at that stage, and steps can be renamed, moved or removed.
- Attack surface composition
Within Defender EASM's Attack Surface Summary dashboard, the area that shows how many assets exist in each category; it does not list insights.
- AUMID
The unique ID Windows assigns to each installed app. Kiosk (Assigned Access) configurations use it to list permitted apps, and you can find the values with Get-StartApps.
