Terms in this definition
- Provider
The organisation that shares data in OpenSharing. Recipients also see a provider as a Unity Catalog securable, from which shares can be mounted as catalogs.
- VNet
A private network belonging to a single subscription and region and covering all of that region's availability zones. A VM can only use a VNet located in the same region.
- TCP
A transport protocol that is connection-oriented.
Related terms
- LinkID
Number that identifies a private endpoint connection. It travels in the TCP Proxy v2 header so that the provider of a Private Link service can distinguish its consumers.
- Private Link service alias
When you create a Private Link service, Azure gives it a read-only name that is unique worldwide. The provider passes this to consumers, who use it, or the resource ID, to request a private endpoint connection.
- TCP Proxy V2
When enabled on a Private Link service, this inserts a proxy protocol v2 header so the backend can see the consumer's source IP and the private endpoint's LinkID. Connection capacity is unchanged.
