Terms in this definition
- Microsoft 365
Formerly Office 365, Microsoft's software-as-a-service productivity suite. A Microsoft Entra tenant provides its identity, and its data is not governed by Azure RBAC.
- Pay-as-you-go billing
A consumption model for Purview charged to a linked Azure subscription. It sits on top of per-user licensing and pays for features like OCR, on-demand classification, and protecting AI apps and data beyond Microsoft 365.
Related terms
- On-demand classification
A scan that an administrator starts in Purview to classify files already stored in SharePoint, OneDrive and on endpoints using today's classifiers. An estimate comes first at no charge; the scan itself is billed by pay-as-you-go or per-user licensing.
