Terms in this definition
- Streaming
Sending model output piece by piece as server-sent events. Only the delivery changes; the answer's content, completeness and cost stay the same.
- Dashboard
Page in VCF Operations built from widgets that display object metrics, properties, alerts and relationships. Predefined and custom dashboards exist, and either kind can be shared.
- Real-Time Intelligence
Microsoft Fabric's workload for data in motion. Using eventstreams, eventhouses with KQL databases, the Real-Time hub, Real-Time Dashboards and Activator, it takes in events, processes, stores and analyses them, and acts on them.
Related terms
- AcrQuarantineWriter
Azure Container Registry built-in role belonging to the quarantine feature: it lets an identity push quarantined images and update their quarantine status. It has nothing to do with signing.
- Action group
Azure Monitor's reusable definition of contacts and automated responses for when an alert or budget fires. Contacts can be reached by email, SMS, push or voice; responses include webhooks, Functions, Logic Apps and Automation runbooks. Budgets alone can only send notifications.
- Actions for noncompliance
What a compliance policy does, in order, when a device fails it. Marking the device noncompliant always happens, at day 0 unless you add a grace period; you can also send an email or push notification, lock the device remotely or put it on the retire list.
- Additional context (Authenticator)
Microsoft Authenticator option that enriches push and passwordless prompts with where the sign-in is coming from geographically and which application asked for it.
- Admin user
A built-in account on each Azure Container Registry, switched off unless you enable it, that can push and pull everything and has two passwords you can regenerate. It is meant for one person testing; Microsoft Entra identities are the better choice, partly because every admin request is throttled together.
- Admin user (ACR)
Built-in admin account on a container registry, turned off by default, with one username and two passwords that can be regenerated. It grants full push and pull rights under a single shared identity.
- APK
The package format used to install Android apps. Intune can push an APK as a line-of-business app, as a private app in Managed Google Play, or straight to fully managed and dedicated devices.
- APNs
The Apple service Intune relies on to reach enrolled Apple devices. It requires an Apple MDM push certificate that lasts 365 days, has a 30-day grace period and has to be renewed, rather than replaced, using the Apple ID that created it.
