Terms in this definition
- Microsoft 365
Formerly Office 365, Microsoft's software-as-a-service productivity suite. A Microsoft Entra tenant provides its identity, and its data is not governed by Azure RBAC.
- Premium
Hosting plan for Azure Functions that keeps instances pre-warmed to avoid cold starts and supports VNet integration. Executions time out after 30 minutes by default, which host.json can extend.
- Endpoint DLP
When Windows or macOS computers are onboarded, Microsoft Purview data loss prevention can watch them too, logging or blocking risky moves like printing a sensitive document, saving it to removable USB storage or sending it to a website that has not been approved.
- Audit
Policy effect that lets a request proceed but flags the resource as non-compliant and logs a warning to the activity log. Microsoft suggests beginning there and later moving to something enforcing, like Deny.
- Insider Risk Management
A Microsoft Purview solution that scores risky user activity, such as leaking or stealing data, from activity indicators and raises alerts. DLP policies are not edited here.
- eDiscovery
Locating, holding, reviewing and exporting electronic information to serve as evidence in investigations or lawsuits. Microsoft Purview covers Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and other sources, and E5 unlocks extra premium capabilities.
- Document Intelligence add-on capabilities
Extra Document Intelligence options switched on with the features query parameter: barcodes, formulas, keyValuePairs, languages, ocrHighResolution, queryFields and styleFont.
