Terms in this definition
- Device query
Lets admins run KQL in Advanced Analytics, either against near real-time data on a single device or, after deploying a properties catalog policy to Windows devices, against inventory gathered from many.
- Device timeline
Replacing the application reliability report, this Advanced Analytics view lists one device's boots, sign-ins, crashes, hangs and anomalies with very little delay.
- Anomaly detection
Identifying data points or time-series values that look out of the ordinary, such as fraud or a spike from a sensor. Microsoft retired the dedicated Azure AI Anomaly Detector service on 1 October 2026.
- Performance
Routing method in Traffic Manager that directs users to whichever endpoint offers the lowest latency.
- Battery health
A report in Advanced Analytics, under Reports > Endpoint analytics > Battery health, giving 0–100 scores for battery runtime and capacity, views by OS and model, and the impact of apps over 14 days.
- Endpoint analytics
Scores devices in Intune on Work from anywhere readiness, app reliability and how fast they start up. An overall weighted score is shown once at least five devices are reporting.
- Intune
Microsoft's device management service, once branded Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Its compliance policies are what the compliant-device grant in Conditional Access relies on.
