Terms in this definition
- Chat message roles
Labels on chat messages: instructions go under system, the person's input under user, the model's previous answers under assistant, and results returned by a called tool under tool (or function).
- CRUD
Shorthand for create, read, update and delete, the four basic things you do with data. Data-plane roles in Azure Cosmos DB, for instance, authorise those operations on items.
Related terms
- Composed model
Single model ID in Document Intelligence that bundles as many as 500 custom extraction models; from v4.0 (2024-11-30), a classifier you train explicitly decides which model handles each document.
- Contract model
Prebuilt Document Intelligence model that pulls fields out of contracts, among them Title, Contract ID, Parties and Jurisdictions.
- Custom classification model
Document Intelligence model, trained on two or more document types, that sorts and splits incoming files by type ahead of extraction; you apply confidence thresholds to what it returns.
- Custom extraction model
Trained on your labelled documents, sometimes only five of them, to extract the fields you specify; Document Intelligence offers it as either custom neural or custom template.
- Custom neural model
Custom extraction model in Document Intelligence based on deep learning that copes with differing layouts of the same document type, structured or semi-structured; Microsoft recommends starting with it rather than custom template.
- Custom template model
Custom extraction model in Document Intelligence for documents with one fixed layout, trained in 1-5 minutes; any variation in layout calls for a separate model.
- Custom Web API skill
Azure AI Search skill (
Microsoft.Skills.Custom.WebApiSkill) that sends enrichment calls to an HTTP endpoint you supply inuri, for example an Azure Function fronting a Document Intelligence model. Setting a context that ends in /* makes it run per item. - Document Intelligence add-on capabilities
Extra Document Intelligence options switched on with the features query parameter: barcodes, formulas, keyValuePairs, languages, ocrHighResolution, queryFields and styleFont.
