Terms in this definition
- Service tag
A set of IP prefixes for an Azure service, kept up to date by Microsoft (such as AzureKeyVault or Storage, with optional regional variants), that can be used as the source or destination in NSG rules.
- 168.63.129.16
Special platform address (WireServer) through which Azure delivers the VM agent channel, built-in DNS, DHCP and load balancer health probes. Traffic to it must stay open, or those platform functions stop working.
- ELT
Extract, load, transform: raw data lands in the target system first and is transformed there. See ETL for the opposite order.
- MATCH
Used in WHERE when querying SQL Graph, it describes how to walk from node to node through edge tables, with patterns written like p1-(f1)->p2.
- Probe
A check that the kubelet, or Container Apps, performs on a container. Liveness failures trigger a restart, readiness controls whether it gets traffic, and startup holds off the other checks until the app is up.
