Lists path patterns and their owners so GitHub requests reviews from them automatically; it can sit in the root, docs/ or .github/, and when several patterns match, the later one applies. Azure Repos handles this through automatically included reviewers.

Terms in this definition
- PATH
Parent-child hierarchies in DAX rely on this function. For each row it builds one delimited text value listing the IDs of the row's ancestors, top level first and ending with the row's own ID, which PATHITEM, PATHLENGTH and friends can then pick apart.
- MATCH
Used in WHERE when querying SQL Graph, it describes how to walk from node to node through edge tables, with patterns written like p1-(f1)->p2.
- Azure Repos
Azure DevOps' version control: Git (and legacy centralised TFVC), guarded by branch permissions and policies. GitHub's counterpart is its repositories.
- Automatically included reviewers
Adds named people or groups, as optional or required reviewers, to pull requests touching specified paths; an Azure Repos branch policy. GitHub uses CODEOWNERS for this.
Related terms
- Base branch
Target of a pull request's merge; GitHub uses this branch's copy of CODEOWNERS.
