Terms in this definition
- VCF Operations for networks
Add-on that gives VCF insight into its networks: platform and collector appliances work together to examine micro-segmentation, flows, paths and network assurance.
- MTU
Biggest frame an interface can carry. The physical fabric needs at least 1600 bytes for NSX overlay traffic, with 1700 recommended and 9000 preferred where jumbo frames run end to end.
- ACID
Four promises a database transaction makes: atomicity, consistency, isolation and durability. Azure Cosmos DB honours them, with snapshot isolation, only inside one logical partition, using stored procedures, triggers or transactional batch.
Related terms
- ALL
A DAX function that ignores any filters and gives back every row of a table or every value of the named columns. Used within CALCULATE, it works as a modifier that clears filters, although REMOVEFILTERS states that intent more clearly where it is available.
- Architecture Principle
Every architecture is expected to honour these qualitative statements of intent. Each is recorded with a Name, a Statement, its Rationale and its Implications.
- CLU
Conversational language understanding: a custom Azure Language feature for chatbots that works out the intent behind an utterance and pulls out its entities; it retires on 31 March 2029.
