Each book explains KEDA in context, with comparison tables and the common traps.
Terms in this definition
- Horizontal pod autoscaler
The Kubernetes autoscaler that adjusts the number of pods in AKS; it does not scale nodes.
- Event
Table in Log Analytics where entries from Windows event logs are kept.
- AKS
Short for Azure Kubernetes Service, a managed Kubernetes offering that gives full control of clusters and node pools. Scaling uses the cluster autoscaler and Horizontal Pod Autoscaler; user sign-in is not built in.
- Azure Container Apps
Container hosting built on KEDA where Azure runs the underlying cluster for you; apps scale automatically and can be zone-redundant.
Related terms
- Custom scale rule
Container Apps scaling rule that can use any KEDA scaler of the ScaledObject kind, azure-servicebus being one, and is described by its authentication, metadata and scaler type.
