Terms in this definition
- Workspace app
Content such as reports and dashboards, bundled together and published from a Power BI workspace so an audience can use it without being able to edit it. Only Pro or PPU licence holders can create one.
- Power BI
Microsoft's analytics and reporting service. It reaches data held on-premises through the on-premises data gateway.
- Premium
Hosting plan for Azure Functions that keeps instances pre-warmed to avoid cold starts and supports VNet integration. Executions time out after 30 minutes by default, which host.json can extend.
- Set
Secret permission in Key Vault for writing secrets; some older material refers to it as Create.
- Capacity
A reserved block of compute for a tenant whose size is fixed by its SKU; Fabric F SKUs express it in capacity units (CUs). Workspaces assigned to it unlock features like Copilot, and from F64 upwards people with free licences can view Power BI content.
- View
Shows a system through one chosen group of related concerns. No view is generic; each one is tied to whichever architecture it depicts.
- LAST
Restricted to visual calculations, this DAX function reads a value from the final position along one of the visual's axes. Writing INDEX(-1) gives the same result.
- Capacity unit
Unit used to size and bill Application Gateway v2, set by whichever is greatest of one compute unit, 2,500 persistent connections or 2.22 Mbps; an instance supplies roughly 10 of them.
