A way of publishing libraries in a Fabric environment that finishes in roughly 5 seconds and defers package installation until a notebook session begins. Only notebooks can use it; pipelines and Spark job definitions need Full mode, which takes 3 to 6 minutes to create a reproducible snapshot.

Terms in this definition
- Fabric environment
Think of it as a reusable Spark setup held in a workspace: one item combining the runtime version, compute options, installed libraries and a few small resource files. Notebooks and Spark job definitions attached to it behave consistently, edits only apply after you save and publish, and a workspace can pick one to use by default.
- Notebook
Combines runnable code cells, in Python, SQL, Scala or R, with their results in one interactive Azure Databricks document; it runs on attached compute, and a job can run it as a task.
- Job
A sequence of steps executed together on one agent or runner, or on the server for agentless work. While running, each occupies one of your parallel jobs.
- Full mode
An environment library publishing option that works out dependencies up front, building a stable snapshot during a publish lasting around 3-6 minutes and deploying it as each session begins. That makes it the better fit for pipelines and scheduled jobs, compared with Quick mode, where packages get installed when the notebook session opens.
- CRUD
Shorthand for create, read, update and delete, the four basic things you do with data. Data-plane roles in Azure Cosmos DB, for instance, authorise those operations on items.
- snapshot
Captures a VM's disk state, power state, settings and, if requested, memory at a moment in time, using one delta disk per virtual disk. Snapshots should not be relied on as backups.

- PFS group
Perfect Forward Secrecy group, the Diffie-Hellman group applied in IPsec Quick Mode (Phase 2). A frequent reason for tunnels failing on policy mismatch is PFS being on at one end only.
