Terms in this definition
- Intune Management Extension
A Windows agent that Intune deploys on its own once features such as Win32 apps, PowerShell scripts or Remediations are assigned to a device. It keeps its own check-in schedule, separate from MDM.
- Agents (classic) API
First-generation Foundry Agent Service API, based on threads, messages and runs. It is deprecated, replaced by conversations and responses, and retires on 31 March 2027.
- Enterprise
Any group of organisations with shared goals. Examples range from an entire company or one of its divisions to a government department, or several organisations working as partners or along a supply chain.
- VDA
Windows Enterprise E3/E5 licensing for thin clients and VMs. Devices covered become eligible for Remediations, Windows Autopatch and similar features.
