Terms in this definition
- RANGE
Usable only in visual calculations, this DAX function picks a span of rows along an axis counted from the current one, say the previous six. Think of it as a simpler WINDOW, handy for moving totals.
Related terms
- App launchers
Here administrators group related apps into My Apps collections, each appearing as a separate tab for users. It sits in the Enterprise apps blade, needs Entra ID P1 or P2, and only organises apps people could already open rather than granting new access.
- Architecture Capability
An enterprise's capacity to build, apply and maintain its architecture, and to steer change through it. Established during the Preliminary Phase, it is a management idea rather than an organisational unit.
- Architecture Governance
The way an enterprise controls and manages its architectures everywhere, covering controls, adherence to standards and regulations, the processes behind them and accountability towards stakeholders.
- Architecture Landscape
Captures, for chosen moments, what the enterprise relies on today or intends to adopt, arranged into Strategic, Segment and Capability levels.
- Architecture Project
How enterprise architecture work is packaged so the team can be steered and managed: a Request for Architecture Work kicks it off and a Statement of Architecture Work keeps it under control.
- Azure Cache for Redis
Managed in-memory cache placed close to an application for session state and cache-aside query results. It is being retired (Enterprise on 31 March 2027; Basic, Standard and Premium on 30 September 2028), so Azure Managed Redis is the choice for new designs.
- Business Model
An explanation of the way an enterprise generates value, gets it to customers and keeps a share of it.
- BYOM
Lets SSMS users plug their own models into GitHub Copilot Chat with an API key, whether from Azure, Foundry Local, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or xAI. It is unavailable on Copilot Business and Enterprise.
