Terms in this definition
- SharePoint Advanced Management
An add-on for SharePoint governance, bundled with Microsoft 365 Copilot, that helps detect and cut oversharing via site access reviews, restricted content discovery, restricted access control and data access governance reports.
- LSDOU
The sequence in which Group Policy is processed: the local policy first, followed by site, domain and organisational unit policies. The nearest, last-processed setting takes effect unless Enforced or Block Inheritance alters that.
- Microsoft Copilot
Licensed users get this workplace AI assistant, which grounds large language models in organisational data from Microsoft Graph and the Microsoft 365 apps. It respects existing permissions, so people see only what they could already open; without the licence, people use the web-grounded Microsoft Copilot Chat instead.
- AGDLP
Nesting pattern: users go into global groups, which go into domain local groups, which receive the permissions. AGUDLP adds universal groups for forests with several domains.
Related terms
- Restricted SharePoint Search
A temporary measure being retired: it confined company-wide search and Copilot to at most 100 approved sites, plus content people own or have opened. Since 31 July 2026 it can't be newly turned on; Restricted Content Discovery takes over.
