Terms in this definition
- Managed disks
Block storage disks for VMs whose underlying storage accounts Azure looks after. The only redundancy choices are LRS and ZRS.
- WHERE
Limits a SELECT, UPDATE or DELETE to just the rows meeting a condition. Omit it, and the statement hits every row.
- VHD
A disk image format for virtual hard disks; the Azure Migrate appliance for Hyper-V, for instance, is downloaded as one.
- Storage account
The top-level resource in Azure Storage, giving a unique namespace for table, queue, file and blob data. Location, performance and kind are set when it is created and cannot change.
