Terms in this definition
- MATCH
Used in WHERE when querying SQL Graph, it describes how to walk from node to node through edge tables, with patterns written like p1-(f1)->p2.
- Sensitive information type
Classifier based on patterns, such as credit card numbers, that policies and labels rely on to spot sensitive content. You can also define custom ones.
- Checksum
Confirms that a check digit in text found by a custom sensitive information type's regex is correct, calculated from weights and a mod value. The advanced version can only be set up in PowerShell XML.
- Luhn check
A validator you can attach to the regular expression in a custom sensitive information type so that only values passing the Luhn checksum, like real credit card numbers, count as matches.
Related terms
- Date validator
A validator that a custom sensitive information type's regex can use to make sure a date within the matched text is a real date in the selected format.
- Primary element
Every sensitive information type pattern is built around one core item to detect. That item can be a regex (validator optional), keyword list or dictionary, or a function; for exact data match, it is the searchable column picked up by an existing SIT.
