Terms in this definition
- Tenant
A trusted, dedicated Microsoft Entra ID instance that stores the users, groups and app registrations of one organisation. A subscription trusts only a single tenant, although a tenant can be trusted by several subscriptions.
- Provider
The organisation that shares data in OpenSharing. Recipients also see a provider as a Unity Catalog securable, from which shares can be mounted as catalogs.
- ALL
A DAX function that ignores any filters and gives back every row of a table or every value of the named columns. Used within CALCULATE, it works as a modifier that clears filters, although REMOVEFILTERS states that intent more clearly where it is available.
- cloud gateway
Sits at the Cloud Connect provider's end of the connection; tenants go through it whenever they use cloud repositories or cloud hosts.
Related terms
- cloud repository
Storage offered by a Veeam Cloud Connect provider, which tenants can send backup and backup copy jobs to for an instant off-site copy.
- VeeamZIP
A one-off, job-free backup of one or several VMs. It always creates a self-contained VBK that stands alone as a restore point, and it can't be sent to a Veeam Cloud Connect repository.
