The log files in which PostgreSQL records its transactions. Because Veeam captures these files with image-level backups, a database can be brought back to a moment in between restore points.

- log
Text written by a component to record something that happened. VCF Operations for logs takes these in, and after integration with VCF Operations they can be searched from its Analyze page and Log Analysis widget.
- PostgreSQL
Short for Azure Cosmos DB for PostgreSQL, a Citus-based distributed relational service that scales writes out horizontally. New projects are steered away from it towards Azure Database for PostgreSQL elastic clusters.
- Schema
The middle part of a Unity Catalog name (
catalog.schema.table), grouping tables, views, volumes, functions and models inside a catalog. A grant on it covers everything in it now and later, and nothing inside can be reached withoutUSE SCHEMA. - RESTORE
Puts a Delta table back to how it was at an older point, picked by
TO VERSION AS OForTO TIMESTAMP AS OF. You needMODIFY, and onceVACUUMhas cleared the old files it can't succeed.

Carries PostgreSQL WAL files, Oracle archive logs and SQL Server transaction logs to the repository. Any Windows server in the infrastructure can do this; Linux can too for VMware VMs (only RHEL or Rocky for SQL Server).
