Terms in this definition
- Azure Bastion
Managed service that lets you open RDP and SSH sessions from the portal over TLS on port 443, so VMs need no public IP. Just-in-time VM access differs in that it opens ports 3389 and 22.
- Dedicated
Running Azure Functions on an App Service plan, which removes the execution time limit and offers VNet integration on Basic and higher tiers.
- Subnet
A segment of a VNet's address space from which resources receive private IPs. Azure holds back five addresses per subnet (the first four and the last), leaving 251 usable in a /24 and three in a /29, the smallest IPv4 subnet.
- ALL
A DAX function that ignores any filters and gives back every row of a table or every value of the named columns. Used within CALCULATE, it works as a modifier that clears filters, although REMOVEFILTERS states that intent more clearly where it is available.
- SKU
The size or tier of a service, for example a VM size or the Premium tier of ACR.
Related terms
- Bastion Developer SKU
Free tier of Azure Bastion, hosted on shared infrastructure, which connects to a single VM at a time, works without an AzureBastionSubnet and can't reach peered VNets. Every paid tier (Basic, Standard, Premium) needs its own AzureBastionSubnet sized /26 or larger.
