Terms in this definition
- Classification
Predictive, supervised learning that assigns an item to one of a set of categories, for instance deciding whether an email is spam; it isn't generative.
- WHERE
Limits a SELECT, UPDATE or DELETE to just the rows meeting a condition. Omit it, and the statement hits every row.
- Hybrid cloud
Joining private and public clouds into one connected setup, so that, say, regulated data stays private while extra demand bursts out to public capacity. Multicloud is a different idea.
- Multicloud
Simultaneous use of several public cloud providers, each run as a separate environment. Hybrid cloud is a different model.
Related terms
- ASM
Short for Azure Service Manager, the classic deployment model that came before Azure Resource Manager. New resources should not use it.
- Key trust
A Windows Hello for Business deployment model where a key bound to the device signs users in to Active Directory through certificate-based Kerberos, which means domain controllers must hold certificates. Microsoft now prefers cloud Kerberos trust.
- SaaS
A cloud model in which you consume a finished application that the provider operates, Microsoft 365 for instance. Nearly everything is the provider's job; you look after your data, users and devices.
