Terms in this definition
- Chat message roles
Labels on chat messages: instructions go under system, the person's input under user, the model's previous answers under assistant, and results returned by a called tool under tool (or function).
- NTFS
NT File System, the Windows file system; Azure Files honours its ACLs.
- Storage reports
Reports in File Server Resource Manager that reveal how disk space is being used, for example duplicate or large files and how much of each quota is consumed.
- Classification
Predictive, supervised learning that assigns an item to one of a set of categories, for instance deciding whether an email is spam; it isn't generative.
Related terms
- Active screening
Passive screening only monitors and alerts, whereas this FSRM option refuses to let users save files from the screened groups.
- Classification rules
Tag files with property values according to location or content in FSRM; file management tasks and access policies can then act on the tags.
- FAT32
Lacks file-level permissions, so Windows Server features such as FSRM won't work on it; use NTFS or ReFS.
- File Classification Infrastructure
Part of FSRM: rules assign classification properties to files, and policies and file management tasks can then act on those labels.
- File group
In FSRM, a named set of file name patterns, for instance executables or audio files, that file screens refer to.
- File management task
In FSRM, a scheduled job, for example file expiry or a custom command, that acts on files meeting given conditions.
- File screen
An FSRM rule that stops, or just watches, attempts to save certain file groups in a folder. Exceptions fine-tune screens and templates let them be reused.
- Hard quota
Once reached, users can save nothing more, in contrast to a soft quota, which only warns. Set in FSRM.
