Windows Installer packages carry an installation database inside. The Azure Connected Machine agent, among others, is distributed in this format.

- Schema
The middle part of a Unity Catalog name (
catalog.schema.table), grouping tables, views, volumes, functions and models inside a catalog. A grant on it covers everything in it now and later, and nothing inside can be reached withoutUSE SCHEMA. - Azure Connected Machine agent
Agent from Azure Arc installed on servers outside Azure. Once a server is Arc-enabled this way, services such as Defender for Cloud can push extensions to it, though the agent doesn't gather VM logs itself.
- FORMAT
A DAX function that turns a value into text according to a format string, for instance "MMMM" to show a month's name. Since the output is text, numeric operations can't use it, and dynamic format strings were introduced to get around that.

How Intune decides if a Win32 app is installed already, using an MSI check, a file, a registry value or a custom script. A script only counts the app as present if it ends with exit code 0 and outputs something to STDOUT.
