Terms in this definition
- Power BI
Microsoft's analytics and reporting service. It reaches data held on-premises through the on-premises data gateway.
- FORMAT
A DAX function that turns a value into text according to a format string, for instance "MMMM" to show a month's name. Since the output is text, numeric operations can't use it, and dynamic format strings were introduced to get around that.
- Bookmark
Lets a threat hunter keep a Microsoft Sentinel query result, along with notes, entity mappings and MITRE ATT&CK tags, then attach it to an existing incident or raise a fresh incident from it.
- JSON
Text-based format for structured data. ARM templates and Cosmos DB documents are written in it, and most Azure REST APIs exchange request and response bodies as application/json.
- PBIR-Legacy
The older report format, holding the entire report definition in one report.json file that can't be edited outside Power BI. Once such a report is edited and saved, it is converted to PBIR.
