- ADM
The Architecture Development Method is a proven, iterative and repeatable way to develop and manage architectures. It runs through a Preliminary Phase and Phases A to H, with Requirements Management sitting in the middle.
- Architecture Capability
An enterprise's capacity to build, apply and maintain its architecture, and to steer change through it. Established during the Preliminary Phase, it is a management idea rather than an organisational unit.

Secret permission in Key Vault for writing secrets; some older material refers to it as Create.

A SMART write-up of an actual business problem. It sets out who is involved, the hoped-for outcomes, the value streams and capabilities affected, and the surrounding business and technology context, and is chiefly applied in Phases A and B, though any phase that must derive requirements, the Preliminary Phase included, can use one.
- Organizational Model for Enterprise Architecture
An output of the Preliminary Phase that defines the architecture function's scope, budget, roles, responsibilities and governance, as well as where one architecture team's remit ends and another's begins.
