Adding a region suffix to a service tag, as in Storage.WestUS or Sql.EastUS, limits it to that region; the plain tag includes every region of the cloud.

- region
A provider-defined grouping in VCF Automation of Supervisors that all share one NSX Local Manager; tenants consume its compute, storage and memory via quotas set per region.
- Service tag
A set of IP prefixes for an Azure service, kept up to date by Microsoft (such as AzureKeyVault or Storage, with optional regional variants), that can be used as the source or destination in NSG rules.
- Tag
Key-value label on compute (for cost tracking) or on a Unity Catalog securable or column, applied with
SET TAGorSET TAGSand requiringAPPLY TAG. Governed tags restrict allowed keys, values and assigners across the account.
