Terms in this definition
- ExpressRoute
A dedicated private link between on-premises networks and Azure, using Microsoft peering or private peering.
- ExpressRoute Local
Lower-cost circuit option whose reach stops at the one or two Azure regions close to its peering location. Unlimited data, with egress bundled, is the only billing choice, and Global Reach is unsupported.
- Premium
Hosting plan for Azure Functions that keeps instances pre-warmed to avoid cold starts and supports VNet integration. Executions time out after 30 minutes by default, which host.json can extend.
Related terms
- Geopolitical region
The set of Azure regions that a Standard ExpressRoute circuit is able to reach. Reaching beyond it, or using Global Reach across such regions, calls for ExpressRoute Premium.
