Terms in this definition
- Veeam ONE
A standalone Veeam product that monitors and reports on Veeam Backup & Replication and virtual environments in real time and documents them for the business. It can also measure how quickly VMs change, which helps with sizing.
- Alarm
A vCenter definition that monitors a type of object for a given event, condition or state; when triggered it marks the object Normal, Warning or Alert and can carry out actions, for instance emailing someone. VCF Operations alerts are a separate feature.
- Veeam Analytics service
Links Veeam ONE with each backup server it watches. Installed as a server on the Veeam ONE Server and as a client on every connected Veeam Backup & Replication machine, it brings back data and logs and delivers remediation commands.
- backup server
The Windows or Linux machine running Veeam Backup & Replication, which manages and coordinates jobs, schedules and resources and keeps global settings. When first installed it also takes on the default proxy and repository roles.

- Management Pack for Orchestrator
Available from the VCF Solutions Catalog, this pack connects VCF Operations to VCF Operations orchestrator so workflows can be started from it, for example as an alert's remediation action.
- Veeam Intelligent Diagnostics
