Terms in this definition
- Power BI
Microsoft's analytics and reporting service. It reaches data held on-premises through the on-premises data gateway.
- Promoted
Anyone who can write to a Fabric or Power BI item (dashboards excepted) can endorse it this way to signal it is ready to share and reuse. Certified and Master data, by contrast, require reviewers that a Fabric administrator has authorised.
- Certified
The higher of the two endorsement levels, above Promoted. It tells users an item has been checked by an authorised reviewer and meets organisational quality standards; a Fabric admin turns the feature on and decides who may certify.
- Master data
Reserved for an organisation's authoritative reference records, such as its list of customers or its product codes, this endorsement can be given only by people named in a specific tenant setting.
