Terms in this definition
- metric
Measurement over time that VCF Operations gathers for an object, such as CPU usage. A policy turns collection of each one on or off, or lets it inherit the setting.
- VCF Operations policy
Rules applied by VCF Operations to groups of objects, covering thresholds, metrics, capacity settings, and alert and symptom definitions. Custom policies inherit from a base and override selected settings, while the lowest-priority Default Policy catches anything not otherwise covered.
