Terms in this definition
- Certificate
Key Vault object holding an X.509 certificate, whose associated key and secret are managed alongside it.
- FORMAT
A DAX function that turns a value into text according to a format string, for instance "MMMM" to show a month's name. Since the output is text, numeric operations can't use it, and dynamic format strings were introduced to get around that.
- Access policies
Older permission model for Key Vault, now superseded by the Azure RBAC model.
- App Service
Managed PaaS hosting for web apps and Web App for Containers, run in a sandbox without OS access. Deployment slots and autoscale start at the Standard tier.
- FIRST
A DAX function available only inside visual calculations. It fetches the value at the start of one axis of the visual's matrix, which makes it handy for comparing each point with the first; its opposite is LAST.
- PFX
PKCS #12 file, protected by a password, bundling a certificate with its private key and chain. App Service accepts no other format for private certificate uploads, and it is used to install client certificates for certificate-based point-to-site VPN.
